Our Approach

Every Exercise Physiology program at Dalton Wellness starts with a comprehensive assessment. This gives us a clear picture of how your body is functioning today so we can target what matters most for your health and performance.

Initial Assessment

During your initial visit, we complete an in-depth look at:

  • Body composition – understanding your muscle mass, body fat, and overall makeup

  • Movement quality – assessing how you move, compensate, and load your joints

  • Metabolism & capacity – looking at how your body responds to activity and where we can safely progress

From there, we develop a clear, purpose-driven plan that links your goals with the exact training you need. You’ll leave with a roadmap—not just a list of exercises.

  • Exercise Physiology is ideal if you:

    • Are living with a chronic health condition and want to exercise safely

    • Have long-standing pain or stiffness that keeps coming back

    • Have completed Physical Therapy or medical treatment and need guided progression back to full activity

    • Want a structured, professional approach to strength, conditioning, and performance

    Note:
If you’re experiencing recent or acute pain or a new injury, we recommend starting with our Physical Therapist for an evaluation. They’ll determine if exercise is safe for you right now and coordinate with our Exercise Physiologists when you’re ready for the next stage.
